This is a die-cast metal replica of the 1939 Howard DGA-15. It is 15th in the Texaco "Wings of Texaco" Series.
Production of the Howard Aircraft Corporation from 1936 to 1939 totalled about 30 Aircraft. Howard developed the DGA-15, building about 40 of the four/five-place aircraft, powered by one of three different engines.
This aircraft T-49, which entered service with Texaco in the second quarter of the year 1946, was assigned to the Sales Department, based in Atlanta, and used by J.F. Tomlinson from May 1946 to June 1947, and by G.C. Ash from July 1947 to January 1948. The ship was in storage there-aftter until sold in June 1948.
